Assistant Coaches
Janet Carbin
Janet graduated from the College of New Jersey with a BS in Health and Physical Education. She has a Master’s from Jersey City State University in Supervision and Administration.
Janet is married to John and they have three children, Joseph, Jessica, and Jenna who all have been or are involved in competitive swimming. Janet swam competitively through college and began her coaching career at the Princeton YMCA, and was mentored by Jane Tyler-Brown the Princeton University coach at that time. She moved on to begin the Hunterdon County YMCA program just out of college. During her coaching career she has been involved with several other programs both YMCA, high school and USS; Red Bank YMCA, Freehold High School, Brick Memorial High School, Jackson Memorial High School, The Atlantic Club, and is concluding her coaching career with the Monmouth Barracudas.
Becoming involved with the Barracudas is one of the most rewarding experiences she has encountered as a coach because we not only produce fast swimmers, but quality people.
